Well, the good news is that “Oceans” is getting a lot of attention and positive comments right now. It is available on Revlis Records both for download and in CD format.
Hello! This is Dain (the British one!). Unfortunately, my summer began with my wife and I getting Covid, which basically took July/August out. Thankfully it was after my birthday in early July.
We did manage to get away to Maui for a few days in September to have a nice relaxing time at a resort (thanks to my wife winning a trivia competition through her work!).
In our little break after finishing our latest album, I turned back to another creative outlet that had been quite dormant since the pandemic kicked in, and began working on producing a short film for a friend who wrote the script and will be directing. We are looking to shoot at the end of the month, and I’m really excited to be getting back into filmmaking after such a long time away from it.
Other than that, I have been putting together some new material which I hope to have on our next album, and am looking forward to collaborating with Mick on some new stuff!
Hi, this is Carl the drummer for The Silvers with some comments on what I’ve been up to since our last newsletter. Certainly, the highlight of this past summer was the completion of Oceans, our newest release, which became available October 15th. I am very proud of our efforts on this and look forward to keeping the momentum going on our next endeavor.
I also did a cross country road trip from my home in California to my sister’s home in Pennsylvania. We lost my brother-in-law in June so the reason for the trip was not a great one, but I did enjoy the drive and saw a lot of our great country. Including Ft Kearny NB and Ft Laramie WY. I drove 6,500 miles and visited 11 states in addition to California. I’m looking forward to doing a similar trip next year.
Best wishes to everyone for a wonderful winter season. Check back for updates on what The Silvers are up to next.
Mick here. I spent some time at the Grand Canyon (It’s a long way down to the Colorado River!) and Walnut Canyon looking at the cliff dwellings. Unfortunately, during the trip I came down with a case of bronchitis that was bad enough to send me to the emergency room to get some medical help. Tested negative for the flu and Covid, so I should be back to normal in a week or so when I will begin working on new material along with Dain and Tom.
Other than that, not much new to tell. Bye for now and thanks for your support!
