Another GREAT REVIEW Of A Song by THE SILVERS From “Oceans” – “Time Slips By”

Artwork by Randyl Bishop

Just released! Our new album, “Oceans”, is now available for download or in CD format from Revlis Records along with all our past releases. This song was written and sung by guitarist, Dain Bedford-Pugh.

Overall Impression: Like cruising down the highway in a convertible, Time Slips By by The Silvers drives forward leaving everything else behind. This new Rock tune takes advantage of memorable guitar melodies to set the stage for an enjoyable listening experience. The simple groove sets a fantastic foundation for the vocals and lyrics, which capture the song’s focus.
Thought-provoking and slightly enigmatic, the lyrics look back upon life with an air of wisdom. It is as if they need to review everything they have done before moving onto the next chapter of existence. They are sung with a calm and collected approach that allows the listener to reflect and enjoy the music. As the tune progresses, the guitar sticks out its head for a momentary solo before leading into the final chorus. Time Slips By is another fantastic release by The Silvers that flows easily and gets your mind working.

Strongest Point(s): The overall mood and atmosphere in Time Slips By is very cool. It reminds the listener of looking in a rearview mirror and just barely making out the things in the distance, but being fully aware of what they are. This is, of course, emphasized by the lyrics, but the groove and mood match so well this sense emerges before the first verse comes in.

Target Audience Appeal: Fans of Rock and Alternative Rock will enjoy Time Slips By by The Silvers.

Artist target suggestions: Fastball, Rob Thomas, Green Day, Barenaked Ladies, Marcy Playground, Everclear, Oasis, Van Morrison, R.E.M., Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles
