In order to play on the road, the members of Silver Laughter had to belong to a union. I think it was Jon or Kim who found a musicians local in Muscatine, IA just down the Mississippi River from Davenport. Their dues were really low, and I do remember attending at least one of the picnics they had every summer.
However, upon doing a Google search for this musicians local union, I can find no information on the organizataion.
