Wow, that’s a long title! Here are a few more random shots from last year (August of 2014) when Silver Laughter was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association’s Hall of Fame.
The first of the bunch shows Kim at the podium during the meet and greet with (from left) Paul, Mark and Mick looking on.
Secondly is a snapshot of many of the inductees during the meet and greet which happened the day before the concert.
Sunday was the induction ceremony where we all received our plaques including the ones for band members who couldn’t make it. As I said before in an earlier post, the guy who presented them managed to mispronounce everyone’s name except for Kim’s! Conspiracy theory, anyone?
From left are Mark Zaputil, Mick Orton, Jon Ludtke, Kim Ludtke and Paul Staack. The guy in the yellow shirt and the fellow standing to the right of Paul are IRRMA board members. In the photo above us are Mick and Kim on top, Ken and Jon below.
Finally, we come to the concert itself. Jean Zaputil, Mark’s wife, took this backstage photo of the band during one of our numbers. I posted one similar to this several months ago. During the 25 minute set we played a few songs from our albums, “Handle With Care” and “Sailing On Fantasies”, which were sandwiched in between a Beatles Medley.
From left are Kim, Jon, Mick with Mark facing the camera (of course?). I’m not saying Mark is a self-promoter, but if there is a camera around, he is not shy!
Behind us Paul was wailing away on the drum set which was provided for all of the bands by IRRMA.
