Hippie Days – Mick Orton on the left and Dave Neumann and John Zimmer standing

I love the Internet! Seems like just when you think there can be nothing new to find, someone posts something you’ve never seen before… or at least remember seeing!

The photo was posted by The Contents Are: member, Dave Neumann, on his Facebook page. When I saw it I suspected it was me on the left before I joined Silver Laughter, but I had to check with Dave to confirm it.

The first clue was my hair. It looked like mine from those days, but the face doesn’t for some reason. So my comment to Dave was, “Is this a case of HAPPY DAYS becoming HIPPIE DAYS?” Of course, I do not remember being on this trip in Colorado, but probably not too many of us do!

  1. Mick – who was the guy that ran River City Records?

    • I will check around. Was it a recording studio or a music store? If it was the store, I think you might be talking about Randy Pearson who was a very good friend of Ken Wiles!
