From the converted negatives of Gus Skamera (Art “Smart” Stenstrom”), here is yet another of a pose which is similar to others I have posted earlier. These were taken in Rock Island, IL in late October of 1978.
As I have said before, once I run out of new pictures to post, I will create a slideshow of photos from earliest to latest of the band.
What is up with Paul standing behind people so his head looks disembodied? This photo provokes memories of Dan Hartman’s song “Just Hanging Around” recorded by the Edgar Winter Group.
Ironically, we tried to cover that tune, but after performing it live once or twice, we didn’t feel it had the same energy as Edgar Winter’s version. Sadly, Hartman passed away in 1994.
