Original Silver Laughter
One of our old friends, Robin Ross Sade, pointed me to these early Silver Laughter photos. It was a kick seeing the guys I used to know in these pictures which were taken at the Ludtke pony farm.
I will check with Kim, but I think the order I have them in is correct. Originally the band was 5 piece featuring, from left to right: Denny Walton, Jon Ludtke, Kim Ludtke, Steve Elliott and John Carstensen.
Another old Silver Laughter Photo
The second photo shows Jon with longer hair, next to him Steve Elliott. John Carstensen is in the middle. Next to him on your right is Denny Walton and finally, Kim Ludtke.
The third one shows that the band has converted to four piece which it remained until its end in around 1979.
Silver Laughter Goes 4 Piece
Here in the field on the Ludtke estate are from left: Kim Ludtke, Steve Elliott, Denny Walton and Jon Ludtke. Could those be the crazy paisley pants I referred to in a previous article that Jon is wearing or did he have several pair?
