In my continuing effort to share some musical history of the band, Silver Laughter, it has to be mentioned that there are roots in The Contents Are:.
During The Contents Are:’s time in Colorado, the band toyed with changing the name to Tabernash. I am not sure what prompted the idea. In fact, Craig told me recently it was a dumb thing to do since we had already built up some notoriety in Denver as The Contents Are:.
On a trip west without me, the guys took a picture of a sign for the almost empty town of Tabernash that inspired the name change idea. Notice they even left a place for me. We could have used Photoshop back then! But personal computers were not even invented yet. Computers were huge mainframes inside bank buildings and government installations!
