The week we spent in Minot, ND, that little town made the news as the coldest place in the United States… no fooling! My memory of the club is hazy, but I do think I remember staying in a trailer which was provided for the band as part of our contract.
I also seem to remember driving for miles along the highway and wondering if we would run out of gas before we hit the next pit stop! Look at the map and you will see there are very few towns between the big city of Grand Forks and our destination of Minot. We were driving that big Chevrolet Van pulling a trailer so we got all of 5 miles to the gallon (exaggeration!). And we usually made these trips at night so we could get rested for the performance the next evening.
Attached is a photo of a young lady from that town who was very fond of our band. Sorry, I do not remember her name, and there are no notations on the back to jog my memory. I do know she was very nice and enjoyed our music.
