“Dear Prudence”

One of the things I liked about our Beatles tribute was that we tackled songs even the Beatles never dared do on stage live. These days Paul McCartney does some of them, but with a group of musicians behind him AND with a guy on special effects. As I have said before, we were just a four piece band, and everyone sang.

This John Lennon selection is from our tribute and not often heard from the Beatles impersonators, but I think we did a very nice job on “Dear Prudence”. What I especially like is the double guitar work by Ken and Jon which sounds just like the way the Beatles did it on the white album. The drumming is spot on, and I spent a lot of time getting McCartney’s bass line right while singing lead at the same time. Jon, Ken and Paul are doing the backup vocals.

Though Kim is pictured in the tribute photo, Paul Staack was playing drums on the selection. This was from the Calgary performance.
