“All Around”

I love posting our music on this site. It gives people a chance to hear what we were doing back in the early to late 70’s. This song was written by me when I was with The Contents Are: and done live somewhere that we recorded the performance.  It was well received as you can hear at the end of the song. Half of the band ended up in Silver Laughter (Paul and I) and Dave nearly was recruited right before Ken joined the band.

Unfortunately, a lot of the singing is flat because we didn’t use monitors back then, and we were…. LOUD! But I think the song is good and may be worth rerecording one of these days. Dave and Craig joined me on vocals and complimented each other with guitar harmonies on a couple of parts. That was the Allman Brothers influence.

As a side note, I have to tell you I HATE Microsoft’s Internet Explorer when working with WordPress. It re-formats the text to fit its own skewed algorithm and chooses how it displays. I had to go back in Firefox and correct all the things IE screwed up when I first posted this article. Does anyone have the phone number for Bill Gates? I would like to write him a very sternly worded letter!

Mick Orton
