“Lido Shuffle”

Once again, we worked out a very tight ending. The beginning sounds very much like the Grand Funk Railroad song we covered! Jon Ludtke sings lead on this Boz Skaggs tune which was well received in Port Byron where they wanted to hear Rock and Roll!

During the disco era, this was one of the songs that was acceptable for that crowd, yet had the credibility of Boz Skaggs. As I noted in the original post, it is a swing song with a beginning much like Grand Funk Railroad’s “Some Kind of Wonderful” with me on bass and Paul on drums. Jon sings lead and I join him double tracked on the chorus. It was a fun song to perform and got a great response. This is taken from one of our sets at The Ranch & Co. in Port Byron. It was kind of quiet that night which could be because it was an early set.
