There isn’t much that I can do,
But I want to do, it all for you.
Every day brings a brand-new way,
For me to torture myself with all I do and all I say.
And I have spent a lifetime waiting for you.
And that’s why I’m so horrified,
I might not see this through.
The breeze seems to speak to me,
Of a wonderful realm of possibility,
But I can see the traps that they’ve laid out,
And I know you’re struggling with how to get out of this town,
That seems to be draining your soul.
I know, we feel forever young but we can also see that,
The world is getting old.
Oh as far as I can see,
we’ve got so much more to get through,
So will you stay lucid for me?
I see the people wanderin’ free,

There’s plenty of fear around,
So let’s slip outside and be gone without a sound,
The time has flown right on by,
