Because Mick Orton lives in a community called Saddlebrooke 2 in Tucson, Arizona, they did an article on The SILVERS for the August 2023 issue. It starts:
In 2014, Mick Orton of Silver Laughter, a band that toured the Midwest and Canada during the 1970s and had two albums of original material, was inducted into the Iowa Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
This inspired him and friend Tom Kelley to start the band The Silvers, and they have continued to write and record original music reminiscent of ‘60s style hits for the past nine years.
In 2021, Mick moved to SaddleBrooke TWO, and he has continued to write and record with two other members, Dain Bedford-Pugh (guitar and vocals) and Carl Upthegrove (drummer), who still live in California. They just released a new four-song EP entitled Mosaic, which became available in June for digital download and on CD from http://www.revlisrecords.com.
