Another popular venue that has been documented here several times is Doc Holliday’s in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Fortunately, Carl saved one of the advertisements from our job from November of 1978. It appears it was a fold over mailer with a small map on the back and the concert schedule inside.

As you can see Ruby Starr (featured on the Black Oak Arkansas hit, “Jim Dandy To The Rescue”) headlined the following night we played, so this was a pretty happening place.

  1. My first official gig with Silver Laughter was at Doc’s. We actually opened for Ruby Starr and the Grey band. As memory serves I believe The Ozark Mountain Daredevils were packing up the day we arrived to unload. I like Doc Holidays it was a nice large venue, with a big stage.
