Not that Jon and I didn’t do our part, but without having the two drummers in the band the night of the concert, it wouldn’t have been as interesting. Because we could rely on Paul to play the drums in our fast paced set, it left Kim to back us up on guitar and harmonica. Both gentlemen also sang.
Kim showed his humor by having a t-shirt made that read something like, “drummer” which was crossed out and then guitar and, I think, harmonica added. He was a very good sport and playing other instruments showed his versatility as a musician.
Another thing that helped our performance is that both Kim and Paul sang backups which filled out the vocals, especially on some of the trickier material like “Please Please Me” and “Angela”.
In the photo of Kim, it looks like he has a harmonica in hand, so it most likely was one of our Beatles songs. The second picture shows a closeup of Paul pouring his heart and soul into the drums.
