Here are a couple of photos from the “private” meet and greet which spilled over into the “public” one. There were so many inductees that it took almost 2 hours to get everyone recognized.
The first photo is of us standing onstage while the IRRMA board member talks about our group, what we did, where we played, how many jobs, etc. Jon was taking care of a family emergency and was not present.
After the introduction each of us took the microphone and talked a little about ourselves; where we were originally from, where we live now… stuff like that.
Understandably, they separated the two meet and greet sessions as food was served at the private one. However, it ran so long that it became one introduction. Those of us who were introduced at the beginning were not seen by the public when they were finally allowed to come in the pavilion. Hopefully they will change that next year.
