Revisit of Silver Laughter’s Booking Calendar for February 1978

February 1978 Booking Calendar

February 1978 Booking Calendar

As I stated before, more and more information has come to light about places we played. Fortunately, the booking calendar I kept through 1978 survived, so when I posted these pages before, I had not found the newsletter or realized many of the places we played were identified on the back of our brochure.

February 1978 was a slow month for us with lots of days off. We started by finishing up the week at the Kongo Club in Mitchell, South Dakota which we began late in January. After finishing Saturday night, we must have packed up and rushed over to Marshall, Minnesota to set up and play for the one night job at the Blue Moon Ballroom Sunday evening.

The next 4 days we were off before playing two one night jobs; Friday at St. Ambrose College in Davenport (of which I have absolutely NO memory) and Saturday at the Sundance Palace in Audubon, Iowa. The following 2 days were spent in Minneapolis (I believe) finalizing the mastering of “Sailing On Fantasies”.

The next day was Valentine’s Day, and we played another one night job in Willmar, Minnesota at the Vocational Tech College. Then the following night we drove to Redwood Falls, Minnesota to play a week at Donavon’s Reef.

Then we had another 3 days off before beginning a stay at Horatio’s in Brookings, South Dakota. Take a look at a map of the Midwest and see how much driving we used to do!
