“Turn Your Face Away” from “Handle With Care” by Silver Laughter

“Turn Your Face Away”

This is another one of those melded songs that Jon had part of it and I had a part of it. We figured out how to put them together into this song. Jon had the verses and I had the refrain (which Ken sang), “So you said goodbye…” I think we jointly came up with the bridge. “You would never…”

Ken does a lot of great guitar picking on this one (and bends a few strings – inside joke).

The photo comes from the 1976 Worthington session which is similar to other poses I have posted already. As I have said before, I think Paul had just joined the band. Kim played on the track, but Paul was in the studio with us when we finished recording which is why Paul is pictured on the back of the jacket.
