I don’t recall whether this was a song Silver Laughter did before I got there or whether Jon and I crafted it together. I think it was the latter, but it was definitely Jon’s original idea. I believe I added the middle 8. Unlike Lennon and McCartney, Jon and I almost always worked face to face on our songs. Once we finished the music and words and had ideas for an arrangement, we then took it to the rest of the band for rehearsal. This song always got a great response from the audience.
Musicians on the song were Jon on guitar, Ken on lead, Kim on drums and me on bass and piano. All of us sang harmonies behind Jon’s strong lead vocal. Unfortunately, Kim left us before we had finished producing the first album, “Handle With Care” so most of the photos I have were taken after Paul joined the band. This one is an outtake from the Worthington collection which includes sound and light man, Carl Frisch.
