Silver Laughter at Hullabaloo 12-69 – Jon and Steve
The Hullabaloo was one of the popular nightclubs in the Quad Cities during the late 1960’s. If memory serves, it was upstairs in a building in downtown Moline, IL. Some big bands were featured there like REO Speedwagon. Silver Laughter was fortunate enough to play there before I joined.
The photo (one of 3) Steve Elliott sent me is dated December of 1969. Jon is on the left and Steve is playing an imitation Hofner violin bass similar to the one I had before I got the real thing. You can see Kim’s drum sticks behind Jon on the riser.
