This cut from tribute #2 taken from the Port Byron performance at the Ranch & Company in June of 1978 features Ken on bass, Jon on the nifty lead solo, Paul on drums and me on electric piano and lead vocal.
Updated: 5/17/14: In the selection you can hear Jon on his little megaphone saying, “Now she’s hit the big time!” The photo of him with the nose glasses was taken from another performance!
The picture above is from the Rock Island session on October 29 of 1978. Looking at the booking calendar for October, We did play the Ranch & Company (Port Byron is near Rock Island) that month, but it was the first week. So I am not quite sure how we squeezed in the photo session before heading off to the Kongo Club.

Jon Ludtke doing the voice “Now she’s hit the big time…” on Honey Pie cover of the Beatles song. Mick on piano, Ken on bass and Paul on drums at Donavon’s Reef in Redwood Falls, MN.
