This photo is from that unknown venue which I have spoken about before. Did I say the cutouts for the “Sailing on Fantasies” cover came from this session? Yes, already said that.
About the only comment I have about this picture is how annoying that hanging plant got to be. We came up with different poses revolving around the use of the dangling macrame pot hanger. It looks like something out of a Monty Python sketch where the weight would drop on Ken!
But we never looked comfortable in any of these shots. It’s probably why this session was so much shorter than the others; that and the fact that it may have been right before we were to go on stage.
This era is what I call the mustache phase. I never could grow a good one and really don’t like facial hair on me anyway. Considering how I almost always was clean shaven, there seem to be more publicity photos of me with a mustache than without.
