Here is one of my favorite Beatles songs from the movie, “Help”, “You’re Gonna Lose That Girl”. Jon is singing lead with Ken and me on backups. Ken does a nice version of the George Harrison lead guitar solo.
This is a small world story. I have a personal trainer, David, who went to dinner with a friend here in Northern California and started talking about me, his client, and the fact that our band is being inducted into the Iowa R&R Hall of Fame this year.
They talked a little more and David told him we had recorded two albums of original material which he thought should have made us famous. The fellow he was dining with asked where we were from, and David told him the Midwest. So the gentleman got on his phone and sent a text to his friend who lives in Minnesota asking if he had heard of Silver Laughter.
“Heck yes,” was the reply. “They did a terrific Beatles set!”
Before you ask, I do not know what city the Minnesota fellow lived in.
Once again, about the fuzzy coat I am wearing in the photo… It belonged to a woman who was with us during this photo shoot. No animals were hurt in the making of the jacket!
