Click here to listen to “Angela”. Note there is a bit of dead air at the end of the clip. I was new to my music editing software and did not realize it created a fixed length to new tracks which then have to be edited down. I got better…
Back in December of 2012 when this site was just a month old, I posted a live version of our original song, “Angela”, which appeared on the “Handle With Care” album released in 1976 on Fanfare Records.
We have had so many new readers and subscribers to our site since then, and I know it takes a lot to go through all the old posts even with our excellent search feature. So I wanted to start bringing some of that great original music back to the top to remind people one of the reasons why Silver Laughter is being inducted into the Iowa R&R Hall of Fame for 2014.
For this recording the band lineup was (first picture) Jon Ludtke on guitar(s) and vocals, Ken Wiles on lead, fills and vocals, Kim Ludtke on drums and vocals and me on bass and vocals.
However, on this live recording, Paul had joined the band and was playing drums and singing backup. The second picture from 1978 shows the lineup for this live performance.
This cut was culled from a set which was recorded at The Ranch & Co. nightclub in Port Byron, IL June 8, 1978. A side note: I did not want to link the pictures music to the photos so the photos could be enlarged.
