Here is another cut from the Beatles Tribute we performed at The Ranch and Company in Port Byron, IL back in June of 1978. It sounds as if it could have been recorded in the Cavern by the Beatles themselves! Especially nifty are the “oh”s at the end of the clip. And the harmonies are spot on. Jon and I sang this one together exceptionally well, I think.
The lineup on this particular evening are musicians, Jon Ludtke, Ken Wiles, Paul Staack and Mick Orton. My best memory is that Carl Frisch was recording directly from the sound board so the crowd noise is coming from the microphones onstage. The sound is pretty good for being recorded on an inexpensive cassette recorder.
