Silver Laughter – An Effort To Look Professional

Actually, Art had the idea to put these labels on our records before they went out. I do not think he did this for “Handle With Care” but did for “Sailing On Fantasies”. The idea was to have a few LPs set aside with these stickers to send to radio stations and magazines for review. Major labels use these to keep people from reselling their albums, I guess.

Anyway, it is very cool that the disc jockey or station manager could check the box of the selection he wanted to put on the air along with the run time of the song. This is a VERY rare item. I still have a few that Art sent me, and several were on the shrink wrap of albums that were sold. So if you happen to come into possession of one of these pieces of memorabilia you can rest assured there are very few of these out there!
