Lyrics for “Don’t Feel Bad”
Here are some thoughts about this song. For some reason, I heard it as a Beatles “Tell Me Why” type of song when the tune first came in my head. It also reminded me of Elvis Presley’s “Don’t Be Cruel”. The first place it came to me was in the makeshift bathroom my dad had set up downstairs in our house in Davenport.
There was shaving cream on my face as the thought for the song suddenly hit me. I started running it over and over in my head developing the song as far as I could. Then Jon and I wrote the words and finished up the music on the road several days later.
