Like many bands, we were together so much we had a lot of special “code” words. Some of them were “borrowed” from the ones we used in Tabernash that Paul and his friends had as kids. Either they were made up or they were German words. Paul’s parents were both from there and spoke with heavy accents.
Talking in little code words was our way of talking to each other without letting the “civilians” in the room know what we were talking about. Looking back, it seems kind of rude. But we were young and oblivious. Okay, not so young since in 1979 I was 29, Paul was 30 and Jon and Ken were 28… Old enough to know better!
