Although I have not spoken with him for many years, Kim and Jon’s dad, John Ludtke, was very supportive of Silver Laughter. I don’t think I ever thanked him properly for taking such great publicity photos of the band in our early days.
Over the years we worked with a lot of professional photography studios, but I still think Mr. Ludtke’s were some of the best.
Though the sessions were long and grueling sometimes, he was able to get some really good photos. I do remember him constantly telling Jon to do this, or do that, “stop making that funny face… Relax… Quit fidgeting… ” to the point that Jon was getting annoyed. Trouble maker!
All he wanted was for us to look good, and I think we did. By the way, the rest of us were perfect, of course!
