The SILVERS Newsletter April 2026

From Carl: I’ve been busy with finishing up our new album “Facing Foward and Looking Back” on which I have a new song I co-wrote with Dain called “Without You”. We’ve all been listening to the takes, along with Dain’s added guitar to make sure it’s right. And I will say that I’m humbled by how good this turned out. I will modestly say this is, in my opinion, our best work yet. And kudos to Stuart Epps who did a masterful job of mixing my drums so they sound as good as they ever have.  I’m gonna put that snare in a vault. :-). I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing everyone’s reaction when the album is released later this year. Stay tuned, Mick will be announcing the release date soon.

From Mick: Carl’s right. The song he wrote with Dain is fantastic! And I know our CD release date will be May 1 with 11 songs, 5 of them from our most recent studio sessions in 2026. If you’re interested in hearing them, you can go to our Bandcamp website (thesilversmusic.bandcamp.com) or our NumberOneMusic site (n1m.com/thesilversmusic) and have a listen. Now that that’s done, back to work on our next 2027 album… entitled? Dain?

From Dain: I have been enjoying listening to the completed tracks for our upcoming album – as usual, Stuart Epps has done a phenomenal job of mixing and mastering. But also, it is incredibly rewarding to hear our music evolving – as we write, rehearse, and play more together, I find that we are pushing our skills, creating more interesting songs, and really gelling together as a band. Of course, we have been doing this for some time now and have been really grooving well together throughout, but there is always that joy of hearing our new material and somehow enjoying each record even more as we progress! I also oversaw the finishing of the album artwork – a fantastic piece of work by artist, illustrator, and graphic designer, Octavia Lonergan. I am really looking forward to us sharing both the music and the artwork with the world. It’s always around this time, coming off the back of finishing an album, that I feel creatively energised, and I have started working on new songs!

And a couple of nice comments of the new songs we posted yesterday from listeners at N1M.com:
