The SILVERS – Dain, Carl and Mick – Artwork by Randyl Bishop and Juan Carlos Quattordio
Every year (almost) we have written and recorded a Christmas ditty. Here is a list going back to 2020 when The Silvers were formed (starting with the latest and going back) and a little bit of information about each song, who played on it and other tidbits.
- 2026 – It’s Christmas Time Again – You’ll have to come back next year and hear the song that Dain and Mick wrote, and which Carl, Dain and Mick recorded in January 2026 and will be mixed and mastered by Stuart Epps. There will also be an animated video for this song coming from Juan Carlos Quattordio (through Randyl Bishop’s studio).
- 2024 – My Christmas Wish – written by Dain, Mick and original Silver, Thomas Kelley. This was mixed and mastered by Stuart Epps and featured on several podcasts including several on WOAFM99 hosted by Oliver Sean. There is also an animated video to go along with this song which may be seen and heard here
- 2023 – Cosy As Can Be (Beside The Christmas Tree) – also – written by Dain, Mick and original Silver, Thomas Kelley. It was inspired by Mick’s great-niece and actress, Cosette Abinante with an animated video conceptualized by and mostly animated by Juan Carlos Quattordio (in Argentina) through the studio of Randyl Bishop. There are several versions of this song out there, one with percussion and one with only sleigh bells. That version and video may be seen and heard here.
- 2022 – Christmas Rock – If you’re not in the Christmas spirit yet, this one was written by Mick and Tom and performed by Dain, Carl and Mick with possibly some keyboards by David Kessner, our studio engineer in Novato, CA. Mixed and mastered by Stuart Epps, and once again, the animated video comes from the studio of Randyl Bishop. Here is the animated video and music.
- 2020 – Lonely Little Christmas Tree – We seemed to have skipped 2021’s contribution, and this was the first Christmas song recorded by The NEW Silvers featuring Dain, Carl, Mick and Steve Farac (who later left the band for personal reasons). As you can see by the characters, the boys were still stuck in Silvers Surf City. Mick and Tom were collaborating on a lot of songs during these first few years of the new lineup and wrote this one. The song was recorded and produced by previous Silver, Drew Youngs. And Randyl Bishop produced the first Christmas video of the band. Listen and watch here.
