Silver Laughter 1977 – Jon, Ken, Mick and Paul
This song has been analyzed in several other posts by me. I talked about being reminded it started as a TODD Beat Group song before Jon and I revived it for our second album. Bob Parker added the horns though we did nix the first attempt he did which sounded (to us) like a game show theme. He also wanted input on the horn part during the refrain (“if-you-think-no-one-needs-you”) which I recorded on a cassette deck and gave to him to relay to the trumpeter.
