“Sailing On Fantasies”

“Lover”

This song got most of the radio airplay during the Silver Laughter days. Weeks after all the studio tracks were finished, Bob Parker, one of Art’s old buddies from his band days, took the tape to Des Moines and had the strings overdubbed.

I remember sitting in that stuffy little booth on a stool playing the guitar track that I had written. What I can’t remember is if we did the vocals at the same time as the guitar track to give it a “live” sound versus a studio sound. The photo I posted suggests it was only the guitar since there is only one microphone in the booth with me. Of course, when we did it live Ken played the guitar, and I played bass.
