MORE Silver Laughter LIVE – Cover Songs!

Though “This Boy” was on the US release of “Meet The Beatles” album there was an instrumental version in the “A Hard Day’s Night” movie. It never made it to an album in the UK but was the original B side to “I Want to Hold Your Hand” in Great Britain. The album cover shown here was the US version. Though most of their albums were released by Capitol, I am thinking United Artists had the rights to the movie and therefore released the album.

“This Boy”

This selection was clipped from our Calgary Beatles Tribute. We only did parts of songs for the medley. This was one of songs I am most proud of performing. I think it is a superb rendition. Everyone sang. Jon, Ken and I sang the verses in three part harmony, I sang the bridge with Jon, Ken and Paul (or Kim if he was on drums) sang the oohs and aahs in the background. Since this was Calgary, Paul sang on this one.

The Beatle, John Lennon voice over was taken from a Christmas message they did for their fans every year. Brian Epstein probably made them do it!
